FBI Responds to Local Agency Training Requests Through INLETS Program

After the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, it became apparent that all levels of law enforcement needed to be involved in the fight against terrorism.

“With many federal law enforcement agencies focused on investigating terrorist threats from overseas, state and local law enforcement personnel continue to play an ever-increasing role in combating terrorism,” said Special Agent Steven Shepherd, who is assigned to the Baltimore Field Office and has been with the FBI for 16 years.
