In recent years, there have been several high-profile incidents of law enforcement officers using deadly force against unarmed individuals. These cases have brought national attention and public scrutiny to how officers are trained to handle interactions with the public. As a result, many agencies are offering enhanced training aimed at teaching officers how to de-escalate and diffuse volatile situations without using force.
