Hawaiian Islands INLETS: Violent Crimes and Terrorism Trends
For the first time in Hawaii, the Intel and Law Enforcement Training Seminar (INLETS) will be offering training sessions to address the most pressing issues facing officers and agencies today. The event will take place from September 11–15 in Honolulu, Hawaii and will be led by the FBI, the Hawaii fusion center, and InfraGard.
This year’s focus is on violent crimes and terrorism trends. Attendees can expect a series of in-depth workshops that will delve into complex homicide investigations, ISIS and homegrown violent extremism, human trafficking, DarkNet investigations, investigative resources, and more.
Throughout the week, case studies will be presented by lead investigators of the San Bernardino terror attack, the Boston Marathon bombing, the attack on USS Cole, terrorism cases from the United Kingdom, and various other high-profile cases. These investigators will be joined by additional presenters from the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit, NYPD, LAPD, US Capitol Police, and other subject matter experts.
Mark “Oz” Geist, a member of the Annex Security Team that fought in Benghazi, will be the keynote speaker at the “Tribute to Heroes Dinner Program.”
